means data that, by itself, allows someone to identify or contact you as an individual, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data. This Privacy Policy governs our collection of information from you through your use of our website. It does not apply to any information you may provide to us through other means, for example, via postal mail or via telephone. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand our online privacy practices.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

Comments

When you leave comments on our website site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, together with your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Email Marketing

With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.

Who on our team has access?

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For examples, both administrators and shop managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds, and respond to customer inquiries.

What organizations are collecting the information?

In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (such as credit card companies, clearinghouses and banks) who may provide such services as credit, insurance, and escrow services may collect this information from our Visitors. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them from Visitors.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, or disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them.

Certain third-party service providers have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For example, we ship packages through FedEx. When creating shipping labels, some of your data will be passed to FedEx, including information required to ship the order and support delivery, such as your address and your phone number. Our privacy policy does not cover third-party service providers’ collection or use of this information.

WooCommerce

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you.  For example, our store is hosted by WooCommerce.  They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored in WooCommerce’s data storage, databases, and the general WooCommerce application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. When shopping, WooCommerce keeps a record of your email and your cart contents for up to 30 days on its server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or need to come back another day. For more insight, you may also want to read WordPress & WooCommerce’s Terms of Service here: https://wordpress.com/tos/.

Authorize.net payment gateway

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Authorize.net stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For more insight, you may also want to read Authorize.net’s Terms of Use here: https://www.authorize.net/en-us/about-us/terms.html or Data Processing Agreement here: https://www.authorize.net/en-us/about-us/dpa.html.
