How to Detail Your Car on Your Lunch Break

Is it possible to detail your car in half an hour? Of course not, just ask the professionals. But is it possible to maintain a good detailing job with a weekly half-hour spruce up? We say yes! With our Quick Detail Kit you’ve got everything you need to refresh your vehicle inside and out in just minutes.

Well Worth Professional Car Care Products Quick Detail Kit. A small array of detailing products, plus towels and sprayers.

Required: one Quick Detail Kit. Optional: standard 12-inch ruler.

Step 1: Floor mats. Pull out all floor mats. Knock them on the ground a few times to dislodge any clumps of dirt, salt, pet hair or general debris.

Step 2: Doors. Open all the doors. Spray Foaming Citrus Cleaner on all the hard plastic surfaces on the insides of all door panels. Wipe them down with a microfiber towel.

Step 3: Dash & console. Move to the front passenger seat. Spray the top of the dash, center console, and any other hard surfaces that look like they need it with Foaming Citrus Cleaner. Wipe them down with the towel. Any electronic screens should be cleaned with Plexall Plastic Cleaner.

BONUS ACTION: You can wrap your towel around a ruler for extra reach and to fit into narrow spaces.

Step 4: Windows. Roll every window down halfway. Spray Plexall along the top edge of each window and use a fresh microfiber towel to clean that top inch of window that often gets forgotten. Roll the windows back up and clean the rest of them inside and out. Remember to wipe twice – the second time with the clean side of the towel – for no streaks.

Step 5: Time check. How far into lunch are you? If you’re right around the 20-minute mark, you’ve got time to complete all remaining steps. If not, skip to Step 8.

Remember, the more frequently you perform this little act of upkeep, the faster it will go! Once a week is probably enough in dry weather; you might want to bump that up during mud season.

Step 6: Tires. Spray Ultra Premium Tire Dressing liberally on all tires until they’re nice and shiny.

Step 7: Body. Now here’s where you can spend a little extra time (if you have it) and gain a lot of wow: shining up the paint. Working one section at a time, spray Showroom Shine on all painted and metal exterior surfaces. Gently wipe away any dirt particles with one of your two remaining unused microfiber towels. Switch to your very last towel and use it to buff away any streaks.

Step 8: Floor Mats. Reinstall your floor mats. If you like you can wipe them down with Foaming Citrus Cleaner first.

Final step: That new car scent. Roll up all windows. Pop Fresh Vent+ in a cup holder. Pull the trigger down until it locks in place. You now have a scent fogger running at full steam! Get out of the car and clock back into to work. Your fresh-scented, spruced-up ride will be waiting to take you home.
