We’ve had some of our competitor’s recently saying that adding “real dry gas” or “real good dry gas” will help your vehicle run better with ethanol fuel. Here’s the scoop- whether it’s methanol or IPA dry gas , adding more alcohol to ethanol gas definitely doesn’t make the situation better.

You know we make our products Alcohol free.

Ethanol is an alcohol and when Dry Gas type alcohols are added the problems will actually worsen. Making E10 more like E13.

When alcohols are added to Ethanol fuels the result is an increase in alcohol resulting in the ability to hold more dissolved water and therefore the potential for corrosion increases and the potential for increased phase separation.

Another effect is that the two different alcohols when mixed together will start to solidify the lubricating oils and fuel ingredients causing additional breakdown of the fuel resulting in blockages in the fuel system.

Alcohols are bad for ethanol fuels and don’t let them tell you any different.
